Pet Portraits by Lisa Haderlie Baker

We met Lisa and David Baker because they adopted Woo from the same breeder that we got Roxy, Blue and Bono (RB&B).  Debbie and Steve Baldwin from Enchanted Pugs take the time to find wonderful homes for their pugs that keep in touch and get together from time to time.  That is how we found out about Lisa’s special talent.

Lisa beautifully paints pet portraits in the setting of your choice.  Her style is mainly done in gouache, which is a form of opaque watercolor.  Sometimes she does a crackle glaze to give them a feel of a 18th century Gainsborough portrait.   Most of LIsa’s paintings are not too big - usually under 16” x 20".   We hear she also has done portraits of people with their beloved pets too.   For samples of her work, see the photo gallery below and visit her blog (see link below).   Please contact Lisa to find out more about her and the painting process.

UPDATE:  RB&B are featured in Lisa’s latest painting “Firelight Pug Dance: Blue, Roxy and Bono” (see below)...gorgeous!  To go to the unveiling party album <click here>.  “Firelight Pug Dance” is now available on cards (see photos below)!
